Measuring user acceptance of emerging information technologies: an assessment of possible method biases

چکیده
The measurement scales for the perceived usefulness and perceived ease of we constructs introduced by Davis [12/ have become widely used for forecasting user acceptance of emerging information technologies. An experiment was conducted to examine whether grouping of items caused artifactual inflation of reliability and validity measures. We found support for our hypothesis that the reliability and validity stemmed notfrom item grouping butfrom the constructs of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use being clearly defined, and the items used co measure each of these consn-ucts clearly capturing the essence of the conscrucI.
